| Me and Bev at her house over Easter... I have chopped off all of my hair since then, of course. She is a delight! | | |

Covenant's campus sits atop a mountain overlooking Chattanooga, TN. This is the "overlook" at school that Bev and I are enjoying.

| I was thinking about the earth and how it was cursed in Genesis 3... Today it is toilsome to grow something. It takes time, sweat, effort... But what was like in the garden of Eden? I was reminded of The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis. The lamp post that is in Narnia is the result of a piece of metal put into the ground. It sprung up almost right away. So, what if Lewis is right? What if that is what it was like before the curse? I could eat my watermelon, spit out the seeds, and before you know it, a new watermelon would spring up before me. That's awesome.

EDIT
I saw the movie The Prestige last weekend--Directed by Christopher Nolan (Momento, Batman Begins). It ranks among my favorite movies. If you have not seen it, I would recommend it... but I would not recommend that you keep reading this because I am going to spoil a lot. I seem to be among the few that believes Borden (Bale) and his lookalike are clones and not twins. The movie is itself a magic trick wherein Nolan pulls a trick over your eyes from the very beginning... Everything in the movie is meant to full the audience while the trick took place in the very beginning--that is, Bale had a clone strategically planned the killing of Jackman through a twisted series of events. There is a lot of debate and food for thought concerning the movie, but since I am alone talking to a computer and it takes two to debate, I will leave it at that.
It's a great film, measuring up to his prior two successes. I reccommend it for those who are still reading but shouldn't be.
